Choose Platform and Get a Video Link
Step 1: Choose the matching platform in the app
Open Select Platform at the top of the window. Choose YouTube, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or RedNote (小红书)—whichever matches the link you plan to paste. As a helpful tip, if the app can’t load the video details, double-check that the selected platform matches your copied link.
Step 2: Copy a video link from the platform
YouTube
In a browser, which is highly recommended, open the video page and copy the full address from the browser’s address bar. If you are using the YouTube app, open the video, select Share, and then choose Copy link.
TikTok
In a browser, open the video page and copy the URL from the address bar. In the TikTok app, open the video you want to save, tap the Share button, and select Copy link.
Twitter/X
In a browser, navigate to the specific post containing the video and copy the address from the address bar. In the mobile app, tap the Share icon on the post and select Copy link.
In a browser, click on the video to open its specific post view and copy the address from the browser’s address bar. In the Facebook app, tap the Share button below the video post and select Copy link.
In a browser, click on the post or Reel to open it fully and copy the address from the browser’s address bar. In the Instagram app, tap the Share icon on the post or Reel and choose Copy link.
RedNote (小红书)
Open the post that contains the video, use the Share option, and then choose Copy link. If you don’t see Copy link immediately, choose Share to… and look for a copy/link option available on your device. For best results, always copy a link that opens the video post directly instead of a general profile page or a topic page.
Once you have successfully copied your link from any of these platforms, paste the link into the Paste web link here field, click the Search button with the magnifier icon to load the video details, and when the video card appears, choose your preferred Quality and Type and click Download.
Download Options and Manage Downloads
Choose Quality and Type
Each video you add appears as a video card in the list. Before downloading, set these options on the card:
Quality: Select the video quality you want to download.

Type: Select the output format (for example, mp4).
Tip: If the download fails at a specific quality or format, try a different Quality option or switch the Type.
Start a download
Click Download on the video card to begin downloading that item.
The app can handle multiple items in the list—each video is downloaded and tracked separately.
Remove an item from the list
Click the X in the top-right corner of a video card to remove it from the queue/list.
Use downloaded files
After an item completes, the video card shows quick actions (icons may vary by item state), such as:
Play: Preview the downloaded video.
Open folder: Open the download location in File Explorer.
Completed (check mark): Indicates the item finished successfully.
Understand video details shown on the card
Duration and Publish date help confirm you selected the correct video.
File size may display Unknown until the download starts or completes.
Channel and View Count are shown for reference.
Search and Download Using Keywords
In-App YouTube Search
YTuber Video Downloader includes a built-in search feature that lets you find and download content from YouTube without opening a web browser to copy links.
As shown in image above, you can look up videos directly by switching from the standard link input to a dedicated search mode. This feature is currently available exclusively when YouTube is your active platform choice.
How to Search and Load Videos
To use this feature, first ensure that you click Select Platform at the top of the window and choose YouTube from the dropdown options. Right above the input field, toggle the view from URL to Keyword, which highlights the search mode in blue as seen in image above. Type your search terms, such as a topic, title, or specific phrase like “FIFA Word Cup”, directly into the text field. Click the Search button or the red magnifying glass icon to view matching results, load the video details card, and pick your preferred quality and format options before starting your download.

Troubleshooting
The app can’t load video details
Confirm Select Platform matches the link (YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, or RedNote).
Copy the link again and paste it directly into Paste web link here.
Try opening the link in your browser to confirm it loads normally.
Download won’t start or fails
Change Quality (try a lower option instead of Best).
Change Type (for example, switch to another available format).
Check your internet connection and try again.
File size shows “Unknown”
This can happen before the download starts. Start the download and check again after it begins or completes.
Downloaded file is missing or you can’t find it
Open Settings (gear icon) and check the Output Folder Path.
Use the Open folder action on the completed item (if available) to locate the file in File Explorer.
Windows blocks saving to the selected folder (e.g., Documents)
Windows Security / Microsoft Defender may block apps from writing to protected folders (such as Documents, Desktop, or Pictures) due to default security settings (Controlled folder access).
In Settings, change Output Folder Path to a different folder you own (for example, a folder under Downloads or a custom folder like
C:\VideoDownloads).If you manage security settings on your PC, you can also allow the app through Controlled folder access in Windows Security.
Playback issues after download
Try a different Type for downloading.
Open the file in another media player if your default player does not support the downloaded format.
